Republicans Vs. Federalists

There are various ways in ruling a specific country. Different ways had their varieties of advantage and disadvantages depending on their strategies, rules/implemented policies, constitutional laws, and other which are dedicated on certain circumstances or national issues. Besides, how they manage their country also engrave on their culture and tradition. One of these examples is the Democracy/Republicans and Federalism. These two forms of Government had diverse tactics and perceptions which vary from each other marking their distinctiveness arguing what’s the best way in ruling the country but still might as well had characteristics compliment in some aspects.

Let’s start with democracy. Democracy (Greek word “democratia”-rule of the people…(demos) “people” (kratus) ”power” or ”rule” is a form of government in which power rest with the people, who either create policies directly or elect leaders to do so on their behalf. The democracy describes a small number of related forms of government and also a political philosophy. Even though there is no specific, universally accepted definition of “Democracy”, there are two principles that any definitions of democracy includes; equality and freedom. These principles are reflected by all citizens being equal before the law and having equal access to power. Additionally, all citizens are able to enjoy legitimize freedom and liberties, which are usually protected by a constitution. (Ex. Philippines)
On the other hand, Federalism use to describe a system of government in which sovereignty is constitutionally divided between a central government authority and constituent political units (like states and provinces). Federalism is a system in which the power to govern is shared between national and central (states) government, creating what is often called federation. Proponents are often called federalist. (Ex. USA).

Base on the definition given, at some points both government had their distinct advantage the same way as having their disadvantages which both of them either contradict or compliment.

Federalism Vs Democrats

In democracy, the set of politicians may be composed of common people whoever pass qualifications which are elected through plurality process wherein the person who received majority of the votes in a set of either national or provincial election will be declared as the winner and voting system requires only low qualifications which enable common people to be legally registered as a voter which potentially may cause several inconveniences such as voting and electoral scams or vote buying, political dynasty due to their prominence, revolutions/rally (may also be considered advantage for human rights depending on the rate of violence it causes), corruption mainly cause by lack of transparency between government transactions and the people, high rate of illiteracy. Unlike in Federalism, only elite/rich people are allowed to be in politics, same as voters and the election takes place only between the cabinet party wherein officials tend to be the voters to elect which candidate they will place on a certain position such as prime minister or other either national which hold the entire country or central which only capable in ruling specific state. The constitution requires high qualifications which do not give opportunities to other common (specially poor) people to be either the voter or the politician itself. But behind those positive reflections of the Federalism, there were also disadvantages such as possibilities in biases against electing officials by the government authorities, inequality between rich and poor, competing states which results to a "raising to the bottom" situations. (Ex. Lower  Tax), the more the state propose beneficial offers, the more residents and entrepreneurs tend to invest and live on that particular state. (this may also considered as an advantage where qualities of specific state use to improve their how the manage their place in order to gain pleasurable feedback from their residents. And the same time favorable in residents and entrepreneur's side.). Conflicts between laws/policies or regulations implemented by the national government which opposite on what policies acting/implemented by constituent political units (province/states) are also one of its major trouble.

A lot of their ideas are counterpart to one another mainly in terms of developing own countries. Arguments about it still unresolved. Oppositions between each other due to their diverse philosophy in life. Democracy focuses on human rights, uneducated/common people (what composes them) and believe that national debt is unhealthy in contradiction to what Federalism's stand. Believing that the more the national debt is, the healthier the country is, the same way as the national bank is a necessity for it plays a big role in supporting business, commercial industries and etc (federalism is merely composed of landowners, entrepreneurs, elite, and others are came from poor family). And unlike democracy which believe that high tariff is unfair to people, Federalists believe that it is the vice versa what's right.

In-spite of their oppositions and contradictions, both parties still have in common which is "Liberty". Believing that after all, the most important thing is the liberty/freedom of the people.

Liberty
